10 Things You Should Let Go Of Today

Live in the moment, and happiness will radiate from inside you. An act easiest said than done for some, including myself. At times, it feels like an impossible, intimidating task that can be easily avoided with distractions. These distractions keep us from truly experiencing the beautiful world around us and leave a heavy burden upon our shoulder. There’s freedom in letting go. Your soul feels lighter, and you will eventually come to find that you begin to heal and develop a new outlook on life.

Here are 10 things to let go of today…

1. Negativity

Life is short. You never know when it is going to end, and that is the beauty of it. So be grateful for the time you are given, and live each day to the fullest. I know that sounds cliche, but for those of us that actually live this way, life becomes that much sweeter.

2. Perfection

Let things happen and unfold on their own. Everything happens for a reason, and the more you try to control life to reach perfection, the more unhappy and frustrated you will become. Be open to new opportunities and to the signs the Universe bestows upon you.

3. Stress

Relax. Breath. Move forward. There is no point in stressing over something that you have absolutely no control over.

4. Blame

You are in control of your life. You have free will that allows you to make the choices that you do. Nothing in life is anybody else’s fault but your own, everything.

5. Jealousy

There will always be someone who has what you want. So what. If you really want it, then you have to work hard to earn it. Nothing in life will be handed to you, and if it is, then you won’t appreciate it the same way you would if you had to work for it.

6. Excuses

Stop making them, creating them and cultivating them. Take action and change your life into the life you want it to be.

7. Anger

Why are you angry? Say it out loud. Now let it go. If you feel anger taking control, let it go by caring for yourself and your well being. Visualize the life that you want for yourself and see that anger has no part in it.

8. The Past

The past is in the past. It already happened and there is nothing you an do about it but learn, and move forward. The past has shaped you into the person you are today. Embrace that person and keep changing.

9. Regret

Sometimes losing one thing might open you up to something else. Find a way to make this new direction meaningful to you and move on.

10. Expectations

And finally, observe how your expectations manifest themselves in your life and think about another way of approaching the future. Instead of setting your life full of expectations towards a certain result, look for possibilities in the present moment. The future will always be a mystery, so let go of your expectations and keep your mind clear and less reactive.
